Lavender dreams

There’s something about lavender that attracts and as soon as you fell in love with it, you will never recover :). Is it because it reminds about good time in South of France, or the color by itself is pleasant to look at, or of course, this divine smell which is scientifically proven to help you relax and even be a little bit happier πŸ™‚

So as soon as the season comes, we tend to enjoy it as much as we can :). There’s a lavender farm in proximity to London but we are lucky enough to have gorgeous lavender bushes right in our public garden πŸ™‚IMG_4046_edited

As well as two plants on our balcony which are already one year old and bring flowers for second season in a row πŸ™‚

Having enjoyed warm summer evenings near these purple buds during their blossom peak, here came the time to collect the harvest in order to benefit from their scent a lot longer πŸ™‚

And though I’ve read, one needs to do it when lavender just starts to blossom, it’s a pity to cut fresh flowers unless you are on the real farm :). So we did it already with half-dry ones:)

Who wouldn’t want to try and collect a proper bouquet from these beauties πŸ™‚
